Is chiropractic beneficial for children? More specifically can chiropractic offer a solution for ear infections? (Medically known as otitis media)
Most children will get ear infections, and many suffer from chronic otitis media as a side effect of antibiotics. It’s ordinary for me to meet with parents whose children are on antibiotics month after month.
Let’s take a look at two published studies on this topic.
One study involved 332 children and the other 401. Ages ranged from 27 days old to 5 years old.
The results were pretty amazing.
On average the reoccurrence of ear infections after chiropractic care ranged from only 11-16%!!!
Statistics like that are pretty amazing. The results mean parents are having peace of mind knowing their child is healthy.
So what did the treatment plans look like for these children? On average the children were adjusted three to seven times over just five to eight days.
Pretty amazing!
For the parents, this means a week of getting some chiropractic care.
Think of the efficiency and costs savings for these families. On average a week of chiropractic care could save the parents the long-term stress, worry and inconvenience later. It means a child with a much-improved potential to grow and develop to their potential.
It’s also important to consider the long-term savings in health care expenses. Not only will these families save on the cost of medications down the road but think how many children never needed surgery to put in tubes because they received chiropractic care.
More than ever parents want safe and natural solutions for their children.
